Finish each day's daily before midnight UTC to build a streak. Solved, banked, and six-guess results count as finished. Archive rounds count toward totals, but cannot repair a missed streak. Practice is separate.

Start with a tight satellite view. You have six shared guesses. A wrong guess or skip unlocks a wider view. Use + and − to inspect it, and drag while zoomed in. You cannot move outside the revealed area or zoom out beyond the current stage. Reset returns to the stage’s full view. Terrain shows roads, parks, water, and buildings without place names, and follows your light or dark theme.
Use the single search box to choose a continent, country, or city/county. Selecting a continent narrows the list to its countries; selecting a country shows its cities/counties. Submit at any level, or keep narrowing down. Selecting and removing tags is free; only submitting uses a guess. A correct country also solves the continent, and a correct city/county solves all three.
Hard mode is pure zoom-out play. Easy mode adds hints for the target country and city/county: approximate population, approximate area, and a direction arrow from your latest mapped guess. The continent never gets Easy-mode hints. Population and area are unverified demo estimates; locality definitions vary. Direction arrows use the latest applicable guess and may be unavailable for an unmapped place.
Pick an autocomplete suggestion. Unknown names and exact repeats do not cost guesses. This preview has 30 curated locations. Easy shows hints and Hard hides them. Both use the same session, guesses, score, and saved progress.
The default uses Esri World Imagery. Zoom and drag within the area unlocked by your guesses. Internet access is required.
Enable Maps Static API and billing in your own Google Cloud project. Restrict the key to your hosted origin and this API. It is kept only in this tab’s memory. Google static imagery supports centered zoom; dragging is available with the default Esri map.
Terrain uses an unlabelled street map so place names do not reveal the answer.
Imagery is retrieved from Esri or Google when you play; these services receive the requests needed to show the map. It is satellite photography, not a real-time feed. Scores are saved only in this browser.
Public-launch imagery licensing and provider credentials still need to be configured. This is a 30-location preview with local, unranked scores.
Map display: Leaflet. Place coordinates: GeoNames, CC BY 4.0. Eight counties lack mapped coordinates. Statistics are unverified demo estimates.
Changing provider starts a fresh practice round so one score is never mixed with different map sources.
